Want to lose weight? It’s all in your mind by Vedaprajinananda.Â
There are numbers of individuals all across the world that are usually concerned about losing their weight since several years and try to come up with new weight losing ideas with the intention of making some positive changes in their lifestyles but unfortunately, they often fail to attain their desired goal. Generally, the sources to access information regarding weight loss are unlimited and perhaps you find it hard to choose something of your kind. However, in my opinion, it’d be great if you get started with your own mind when it comes to weight loss.Â
Weight loss is not a gigantic treaty in science; it’s not calculus as well, but it actually is nothing more than a mere deal of mathematics. If you don’t prefer consuming excess calories-containing food, and do exercise in a regular basis, you’ll no doubt be able to experience weight loss to a great extent. If you’re participating in exercising activities regularly and decreasing your daily calories intake level as well, you can reduce your weight in no time. The strategies to loss weight are not as simple as they seem to be, so you better start it all the way from your mind.
Â
Many thoughts usually arrive in your mind which is something like “I just don’t acquire any willpower” and you start to convince yourself that no one is born in presence of willpower. You just need to concentrate in strengthen of your mind before enrolling yourself in exercising activities to make your muscles strong. This is the main reason why I actually wrote a book on lose weight that is totally based on the concept of Yoga and meditation.Â
Burning excessive calories is not the only feature of Yoga practices, but they are highly responsible in managing your glands in such a manner that an ideal level of balance will be maintained in your mind. Actually, meditation is a type of exercise which can assist you to enhance your concentrating power as well as it enables you to attain internal peace and balance. Yoga exercises accompanied with medication are no doubt an outstanding way to develop your mind’s muscle and motivate you to move out to yoga practice and give your best as possible.
Â
I actually prefer to do mantra medication in a regular basis and strongly recommend others to prefer the same one as well. In fact, the book I recently published also includes the same subject matter. When it comes to teaching meditation to the young children I’ve often noticed that visualization exercises help them a lot to learn meditation rather than usual exercises. A couple of days earlier, I consult to some popular psychologists who have already implemented the visualization power with the intention of helping people to lose their weight.Â
Below is a visualization-based practice that could help you a lot.
Â
Imagine that you’re in a state where your weight has reached exactly where you always want it to be, 140 pounds, for instance. It really affects you a lot from all the ways including physically, socially, mentally, and emotionally to name a few. Just keep your imagination in your consciousness whenever you wish to eat. In mean time, you’ll ultimately find yourself in a weight you always with to be.Â
No matter it’s a mediation or visualization, you’ll be applying effort at your mental area in both the ways in order to make some positive changes externally. Â
Many years back, with reference to anecdote of Bill and Hillary Clinton, it has been known that Hillary had dragged Bill to yoga class. The most surprising thing was that, there he was a single man. Similarly, in many countries, the yoga classes are mostly famous among the women. The likely reason for this trend may be that yoga is mostly concerned for losing weight and becoming more beautiful. Below are some views regarding the role of yoga making person look attractive:Â
There is no debate on the issue that yoga can help person to remain fit and healthy. For a person to be fit and look beautiful, one must do proper medication, regular exercise, practice different yoga postures in a proper manner.Â
The concept of beauty has always gone along with the biological and evolutionary process. The one having a clear skin complexion is always considered to be in a good health. From the time of our ancestors it has been in practice to choose the partners of good health so that the future generations could inherit their gene and be healthy.Â
But, beauty doesn’t solely depend upon the physical factors and appearance. The many internal factors such as proper digestion, functioning of physical organs, and different physiology of body have impact on the outer look of the individual. There is a great role of internal physiology and spiritual factors to make us feel good and look us better.Â
The known best part of yoga is the physical practices such as yoga postures (asanas). But the main principle of yoga is a moral code which defines-a life in which a person can live in a harmony with himself and with the society. And this principle of lifestyle is known as “Yama” and “Niyama.”Â
The term “Yama”, which refers to “that which controls”, actually has 5 parts. These five parts helps a person to remain in harmony with his or her external environment. Among the five parts of Yama, the most important part is “Satya.”Â
“Satya” is simply what we call “Truth” and there is no exact translation in English for this Term. In reference to a book, A Guide To Human Conduct, My Guru Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, Satya is defined as “an action of mind and right use of words in the spirit of welfare” which means we should contribute whatever we can, for welfare of others, keeping the good thoughts in the mind and speaking in the spirit to help others.Â
The one practicing Satya keeps the positive thoughts in mind and will develop power and straightforwardness. This practice is done in subconscious mind and results in an internal effulgence or glaze called Oias. This inner glaze is a vigor that gets reflected outward and contributes to attractiveness of a person. And the glow you find yourself practicing Satya cannot be duplicated and found by any other makeup!Â
The time when you’re of twenty, you’re helped by Mother Nature i.e. your body hormones helps you to blossom and make you physically well-being over these years. But this natural way is not enough so it must be supported by practicing living proper way of life.Â
Therefore, in order to make the most of the what god have given you in the physical body you need to practice different physical aspects of yoga like postures, dieting, and fasting to name of few. And likewise, the inner aspect of yoga like meditation and balanced conduct gives you an inner glaze and beauty to remain lifelong even after physical body is on its way to wind-down.
